Boarding Policy

To ensure your pets happiness and good health while boarding with us at Quail Roost Animal Hospital:

1. The minimum boarding charge per night per dog or cat is a comparable rate for the area.    Additional charges may be assessed based on the size or additional care required.

2. There is a daily charge for medications given.   Please advise us of any special treatments or medications needed while boarding.   Leaving written instructions help us give the best possible care.   Please bring with you, any mediation needed by your pet.

3. Animals that are under treatment and require monitoring (such as diabetic patients, patients with ongoing infections, etc...) may require laboratory testing if condition(s) worsen while boarding.   These tests will be done at the owners expense.

4. All animals are required to be up to date on ALL VACCINES.   Any vaccines that are needed must be given upon entrance.   NO EXCEPTIONS

5. A fecal examination for intestinal parasites is done at no charge.   Any animal testing positive must be dewormed upon entrance.   There is an additional charge for deworming.

6. We highly recommend all boarders to have a bath on the pick up day.   we will do everything possible to keep your pet clean while boarding, but in many cases, pets not used to being kept in confinement may soil themselves and require bathing.  In this case, the owner will be charged for a minimum of 1 bath.

7. We require an emergency contact telephone number in all cases.   If you will be staying where you cannot be reached, we ask that you call us at least every 2-3 days for an update on the status of your pet's health.

NOTE:    We reserve the right to refuse any animals that may be overly aggressive or that may endanger the health of other pets or members of our staff.
