TRAVEL AND YOUR PET
Whether you
decide to take your pet along or not,
here are some helpful tips: |
| Boarding |
A very popular
choice. We know by our many visitors every
year. To make arrangements to leave your pet with us at
Quail Roost, give us a call for details. |
| By Air |
Contact the airlines well
in advance to check regulations and make reservations. Be
aware of weather conditions. Choose night or early morning
flights. Make arrangements to pick up your pet from the
airport as soon as possible. Use only airline approved air
kennels. Buy the air kennel in advance to get your pet used to
it. Consult us at Quail Roost whether to use tranquilizers or not,
sometimes it is recommended not to sedate your pet. |
| By Car |
If your pet is not used to car
rides, take him for a few short rides before the trip. Try to stick
to your regular feeding routines. Cats travel better in a
carrying case. Plan to stop every two hours to exercise your
pet. Don't forget to take a leash with you. Don't
allow your dog to ride in the car with his head outside the car window,
flying particles can injure his eyes. NEVER leave your pet
inside a parked car. |

| Hope the above tips
will make travel a more enjoyable time for both you and your pet. |
